The Gran Sol (Grand Sole) is a North Atlantic fishing ground, exploited for decades by Spanish and Portuguese sailors, including our grandfather.

The Gran Sol owes its name to the fish known in English as “sole”. In Galician and Spanish the name was erroneously translated as “sol” which means “sun”.

Following a prophecy of what has already happened, we were interested in the idea of how the violence of memory carried through narration can be transformed into a hymn to care, as well as being revisited from a critical point of view that allows us to construct a different perspective, introducing our own bodies and the voice of the audience in a playful way.
