Collective Heartbreak
Remember What We Forgot – A High-Pressure Lullaby

2025 | HGK FHNW | ACT Valais

“Remember What We Forgot – A High-Pressure Lullaby” is a performance in progress, to be developed and adapted depending on the site where we perform. We, the “collective heartbreak,” a group of students from the Master IAGN, are working on creating a metaphorical space of solace and intimacy. We will sing—not just as a chorus of voices, but as a resonant, trembling body engaged in performative research on trust, disruption, and intuitive release.

Singing as a way to shape a shared space while honoring the frictions and contrasts between us. This is not about finding a common language. Rather, as Donna Haraway suggests, it is about learning to speak in tongues, embracing the confusion of boundaries, and celebrating the heterogeneous multiplicity of who we are together. We stay with the tremble—bodily, vocally, politically—as an opening towards other forms of kinship and collective becoming.

We write our own songs, working with displacement and movement, bringing the intimacy of singing in the shower—a self-pleasing ritual—into the public sphere.
