I want to explore the idea of a “Tableau Vivant”, a moving painting, a painting as a theatrical stage, a human size marionette-cabinet, a person stepping into the painting and exploring internal and external patterns of thought, behavior, movement. A visual exploration of gestures, the morphing of human body parts and constructed shapes. The idea is to explore and document the attempt to break free from pre-scripted movements and behaviors, to reconnect with the limitations and possibilities of movement, gesture and voice in today’s world where interaction, connection and intimacy seem very unnatural. Morbid Mass? I would love to collaborate with one or two other performer as in order to step into my painting i need to bodies to activate the organism. I will use voice and sound. Possibly a projection.
