MÆN is a performance invesgation how techno-masculinity is constructed through procession of socialization, monitored, and continuously corrected within digital and neoliberal feedback system.
Rather than critiquing or glorifying about male centered masculinity or partriarchy, the work creates a neutral observational field in which in social expectations materialize as real-time commands. Masculinity is approached from a femenist-informed perspective that includes multiple and contructed masculinity rather than a sigualr dominant forms.
The performers exist inside a loop of surveillance,live-boradcasting, algorhithmic response, chat-based instruction, and bodily correction. Masculinity apperas not as identity, but as interface of our society.
