Resignation Letter is a performance where the unwritten rules placed on affective expression are examined. Through a mindful yet uncomfortable encounter between voice and body, the piece imagines the liberatory efforts required to reject self-silencing.

In the performance, the audience comes face-to-face with a corporate employee that has taken the step to announce her resignation from her job. An assemblage drawing from dance, singing, and spoken work is created while the employee tries to make a semantic compromise between professional etiquette and personal integrity. Her letter is constantly reworked until it’s messaging is deemed acceptable.
