The idea behind this performance is to explore, at the same time, the spectra of sound and the spectrum of colours, and how they can relate. The saxophone player will improvise using multiphonics, microtones and natural harmonics, using the resources that the spectra of saxophone sound gives. At the same time, a painter reacts to the different “colours” of the spectra using actual colours on the white canvas, creating a live produced artwork inspired by the improvised material of the saxophone.
