The performance features a physical dialogue between two performers—an adult and a 10-year-old child—navigating a landscape of four distinct symbolic platforms: weathered wood, fragmented asphalt with a central thorn bush, white plaster, and stacked stone. Moving through varying bodily constellations, the performers activate these environments, exploring the space between protection and constraint. The domestic imagery of the table and chairs is deconstructed across these surfaces, highlighting the tension between the "holy" home and the rigid structures of rural tradition. In a climactic moment of revelation, the thorn bush and the adult’s hand are ignited (using controlled fire paste), literalizing the biblical metaphor of the Burning Bush as a site of both illumination and danger.

The work explores the erosion of naivety within family constellations, specifically examining how rural traditions, religious binaries, and inherited structures dictate personal relationships. Using the biblical narrative of the Burning Bush (Exodus 3:4) as a central metaphor, the project uses the set up of the domestic table—typically a symbol of communion—as a site of revelation and hidden tension. Here, the “holy” environment of the home is set on ‘fire’, revealing the darker, systemic undertones that persist beneath the surface of tradition.
