2026 | EDHEA | ACT Valais

Two performes, two materials. How is their physicality, how do they relate to each other and

what space do they create on the theater scene?

Besides the two human bodies, sand and and linen are the main protagonists. Sand, small

brackets of stones, ground by riverwater. And line, a woven fabric made of natural, dry plant

stips. The two materials are used since earliest human history. Sand has always been used

to build houses, shelters, safe places, a home for humans to stay. Line fabric is the oldest

textile that used to clothe humans and was made to be a second skin.

Today materials are often seen as ressources, extractivist practices are everywhere, the

use of material has gone to a automatic act.

This performance offers another, more sensitive approach.

We add light and produce sound by voices or percussion.

There is no verbal language.

It will be a fluid interaction between the included matters, transformations are happening.

The intention might get close to improvise while listening than a fixed choreography.
