Scrolling painting 01

In this performance, I make a painting by moving my body across a long, narrow sheet of paper placed on the ground. The shape of the paper recalls a handscroll, but instead of using a brush, I use my body. Ink is poured onto the paper, and I move forward by doing somersaults. As my body touches the surface, it leaves marks made by weight, pressure, and movement. The image is not planned. It builds up through repeated contact between ink, paper, and body. What interests me is turning painting actions into a physical act. The body is no longer outside the work, controlling it from a distance. It becomes directly involved in making the image.
